Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 31 October 2025
Our commitment
At Ogilvy & Sneyd we are committed to making our website (https://ogilvyandsneyd.co.uk) accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet accepted standards for accessibility and usability, and to ensure our digital presence is usable by as many people as possible.
Standards and guidelines
We strive to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA as far as reasonably possible. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities — including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
What we’ve done so far
-
We have built the website using the Wix Studio platform, and implemented design features such as clear logical structure, consistent navigation, readable fonts and adequate colour contrast.
-
Images throughout the site include alternative (alt) text where appropriate, or are purely decorative and marked accordingly.
-
We have enabled keyboard-accessible navigation and ensured that interactive elements (links/buttons) are labelled clearly and consistently.
-
We have used semantic HTML/ARIA (via Wix) where possible to enhance screen-reader compatibility.
-
We regularly test on common browsers and devices to ensure responsiveness and usability.
Known limitations and areas for improvement
While we continue to improve our website’s accessibility, there are some limitations:
-
Some older content (e.g., PDF documents or legacy images) may not yet fully conform to all accessibility best practices (for example, might lack full tagging or alternative text). We are auditing and updating such items.
-
Some complex visual designs (e.g., decorative overlays, background images) might present challenges for certain screen-reader or low-vision technologies. We are monitoring these and adapting where needed.
-
Third-party embedded elements (if any) might not always meet our accessibility standards we review these on a case-by-case basis and seek alternatives when required.
How we test and maintain accessibility
-
We use a combination of automated tools, manual testing (keyboard-only navigation, screen-reader checks) and user-based feedback to identify accessibility issues.
-
We have a schedule for review and update of both new and existing pages, to ensure accessibility is built into content additions and design updates.
-
We train our internal team (or our web agency) to consider accessibility from the outset of each project.
